These unusual earrings are inspired by the intricate shape of willow tree pollen. The hard outer coat of a pollen grain makes it robust enough to survive transport by wind, water and insects, but when it lands on the pistil of a flower, it willingly gives up its genetic material to fertilize the flower ovules. Unfortunately, pollen grains are also highly allergenic to many humans, as springtime hay fever sufferers well know.
The earrings are 3D printed in solid sterling silver, bronze or brass and finished with nickel-free rose gold-plated, gold-plated or non-plated sterling silver earring hooks to match. The earrings shown in the photo are brass.
The earrings are ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
The earrings are approximately 1 cm long below the loop, and each earring weighs 3.9 g.
