Die Coccolithus-Ohrringe basieren speziell auf den komplizierten Strukturen von Coccolithophoren Coccolithus pelagicus. Die Schale dieses einzelligen Phytoplanktons besteht aus ineinandergreifenden Platten, sogenannten Coccolithen, die aus Kalziumkarbonat bestehen. Gelegentlich ist eine enorme Zunahme der Coccolithophor-Populationen, sogenannte „Coccolithophor-Blüten“, als massive türkisfarbene Flecken im Ozean erkennbar. Obwohl Blüten mit der globalen Erwärmung häufiger auftreten, könnte die Kohlenstofffixierung durch Coccolithophoren möglicherweise die Kohlendioxidkonzentration in der Atmosphäre reduzieren und somit den Auswirkungen der globalen Erwärmung entgegenwirken.

Diese eleganten Ohrringe sind 1,2 cm (0,47 Zoll) x 1,4 cm (0,55 Zoll) unterhalb der Schlaufe und jeder Ohrring wiegt 3 g.

Die Ohrringe sind aus leicht poliertem, massivem Sterlingsilber oder Bronze 3D-gedruckt und mit passenden nickelfreien Sterlingsilber- oder rosévergoldeten Silberhaken versehen und können mit einer Geschenkbox, einem Poliertuch und einer Pflegeanleitung verschenkt werden.

Alle Schmuckstücke werden versandkostenfrei ab der Ontogenie-Werkstatt in Deutschland versendet. Wenn Sie außerhalb der EU wohnen, fallen möglicherweise Zoll- oder Einfuhrgebühren an.
