This science jewelry is inspired by the rosette stage of the plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Arabidopsis is the model organism of choice for many plant biologists. It is easy to grow, developing from seed to seed in approximately 6 weeks, and has a small yet completely sequenced genome. This humble weed, often found growing out of cracks in the pavement along a roadside, has greatly expanded our understanding of plant metabolism and physiology. It is a member of the Brassicaceae, the same plant family as cabbage, broccoli and wasabi.

The Small Arabidopsis Rosette pendant is approximately 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) in diameter, similar in size to the Arabidopsis Rosette earrings.

The pendant is 3D printed in 14K gold plated brass or sterling silver, finished with a 45 cm/18 inch long gold plated silver chain or silver chain to match*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.

*While a 45 cm/18 inch fits most, other chain lengths are available. At checkout, write a note indicating your preference.

Please note: the video is a computer animation designed to show all sides of the pendant and may not accurately represent the color of the metal.
