This ring is based on the structure of Skeletonema species, a genus of diatoms found in all coastal waters except for the polar regions. Skeletonema diatoms are colonial, forming long filaments stabilized by exterior struts, and like all diatoms, they are photosynthetic. Ontogenie has crafted this colonial diatom into a lovely sterling silver ring.
The ring is made to order by 3D printing in wax and casting in polished brass, bronze or silver. If you require a size not listed, please contact me. I will be happy to create your size and make it available for purchase. If you don't know your ring size, it's best to have your size professionally measured with a ring sizer at your local jeweler.
The ring is 3D printed in polished solid sterling silver and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
All jewelry ships free of charge from the Ontogenie workshop in Germany. If you live outside of the EU, you may be charged customs or import fees.
T-Shirts, mugs, and art prints ship free and directly from where they are printed, usually a printing company close to your location.
