These unique hoop earrings are inspired by the anaphase stage of mitosis in eukaryotic cells. Mitosis is the process by which cells divide, replicating their chromosomes and distributing them evenly between the two developing cells. At anaphase, the daughter chromatids (the replicated chromosomes) are being pulled along by microtubules to opposite ends of the dividing cell.
The hoop earrings are approximately 2.2 cm (0.9 inches) in diameter. The post diameter is approximately 0.9 mm and the earrings come with matching earring backs.
The earrings are available in solid sterling silver and14K gold plated brass and are ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
