This pendant represents a dip slip fault. Faults, where two blocks of rock move relative to one another, arise from the motion of the earth's crust and upper mantle (plate tectonics). Faults are classified by the direction of the movement of block against block. With a dip slip fault, the fault plane is angular with respect to the crust and the motion of the rocks is also vertical/angular. The pendant depicts a normal dip slip fault as the hanging wall block (right side of pendant) is moving down with respect to the footwall block (left side of pendant).
The Dip Slip Fault pendant is 2.2 cm (0.9 inch) long and 1.4 cm (0.5 inch) wide.
The pendant is 3D printed in14K gold plated brass or sterling silver, finished with a 45 cm/18 inch long gold plated silver chain or silver chain to match, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
