The Opercularella pendant in solid sterling silver is inspired by a drawing by Ernst Haeckel depicting the polypoid stage of a Hydrozoan marine animal. These strange animals form colonies connected by long tubes. The different shapes on the stalks represent different biological functions of the animal including feeding, mating and incubating young. Many hydrozoans also have a free-swimming medusoid life stage which resembles a small jellyfish.

The pendant is approximately 2.6cm (1 in) wide by 4 cm (2.8 in) long.

The pendant is 3D printed in 14K gold plated brass or sterling silver, finished with a 45 cm/18 inch long gold plated silver chain or silver chain to match*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.

*While a 45 cm/18 inch fits most, other chain lengths are available. At checkout, write a note indicating your preference.

All jewelry ships free of charge from the Ontogenie workshop in Germany. If you live outside of the EU, you may be charged customs or import fees.

T-Shirts, mugs, and art prints ship free and directly from where they are printed, usually a printing company close to your location.
