This pendant is inspired by the unusual structure of columnar basalt, a type of igneous rock formed by rapidly cooling lava extruded to the earth's surface. By this process, distinctive hexagonal columns are created. Columnar basalt can be seen in many places throughout the world including the Giant's Causeway in Ireland, the Devil's Postpile in California, the Black Sand Beach of Iceland, and the Columbia River area of the Pacific Northwest United States.
The pendant is 1.3 cm (0.5 inches) wide and 2 cm (0.8 inches) long below the loop
The pendant is 3D printed in solid sterling silver or 14K gold plated brass, finished with a 45 cm/18 inch long sterling silver or gold plated silver chain*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
*While a 45 cm/18 inch fits most, other chain lengths are available. At checkout, write a note indicating your preference.
