These spiral-shaped, sterling silver earrings are modeled after the fossil benthic foraminifera Ammonia tepida. This genus of Foraminifera is named after its structural resemblance to ammonites, an extinct group of marine mollusks that also have a distinctive spiral shell. Designed by Ontogenie as a PhD graduation gift, the Ammonia tepida earrings can be 3D-printed in sterling silver, brass and bronze for your favorite marine biologist.
Each earring measures 1.4 cm in length below the loop and weighs approximately 3.6 g.
The earrings are available in solid sterling silver or 14K gold plated brass and finished with nickel-free sterling silver or gold plated silver hooks to match, and are ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
All jewelry ships free of charge from the Ontogenie workshop in Germany. If you live outside of the EU, you may be charged customs or import fees.
T-Shirts, mugs, and art prints ship free and directly from where they are printed, usually a printing company close to your location.
