This pendant depicts a head of the barley plant, Hordeum vulgare. Barley is one of the first cereal grains cultivated by humans. Archaeological data records its domestication from a wild grass relative about 10,000 years ago in the Fertile Crescent of the Middle East. Barley is essential in beer and scotch production, as well as being a food plant for both humans and animals.

The Barley Pendant measures 1.6 cm (0.6 inch) in width and 4.8 cm (1.9 inch) in length.

The pendant is 3D printed in solid sterling silver or 14K gold plated brass, finished with a 45 cm/18 inch long sterling silver or gold plated silver chain*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
