These marine biology ornaments are based on three species of Foraminifera. Foraminifera are marine single-celled organisms that live inside a calciferous shells with unusual shapes, and consist of benthic and planktonic species, depending on whether they live on the sea bed or float in the ocean. The shells of Foraminifera make up the White Cliffs of Dover in England and the Kreideküste in Germany.
Each ornament is approximately 5 cm in diameter. The ornaments are 3D printed in white nylon plastic by selective laser sintering. For other colors, please contact me.
