This science jewelry is inspired by the rosette stage of the plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Arabidopsis is the model organism of choice for many plant biologists. It is easy to grow, developing from seed to seed in approximately 6 weeks, and has a small yet completely sequenced genome. This humble weed, often found growing out of cracks in the pavement along a roadside, has greatly expanded our understanding of plant metabolism and physiology. It is a member of the Brassicaceae, the same plant family as cabbage, broccoli and wasabi.
The Large Arabidopsis Rosette pendant is approximately 3.4 cm in diameter.
The pendant is 3D printed in solid sterling silver, bronze, 14K gold plated brass, steel or gold plated steel and finished with a sterling silver, gold-plated silver or rose gold-plated silver anchor chain to match*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.
*While a 45 cm/18 inch fits most, other chain lengths are available. At checkout, write a note indicating your preference.
Due to variation in the amount of bronze infusion during steel printing, the steel pendants can vary in color from silver to bronze.
