This detailed and reversible pendant is inspired by ammonites, shell fossils of the extinct marine mollusk group Ammonoidea. Ammonites are most closely related to cephalopods (octopuses and squid) and were able to snare prey with their sharp jaws, pulling fish and crustaceans inside their shell to eat them. They are a useful indicator species for the geologic age of rock since ammonites had slightly different shell shapes in different geological periods. Ammonites are some of the most abundant fossils on earth. Both sides of this pendant are beautiful so you can wear one side facing out on one day and the other side the next day.
The Ammonite pendant is 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide and 2.5 cm (1 inch) long.
The pendant is available in solid sterling silver or 14K gold plated brass (shown) and finished with a sterling silver, gold-plated silver or rose gold-plated silver anchor chain to match.
