Spiroloculina nitida is a marine unicellular organism that forms a calciferous shell. The shells of Spiroloculina as well as other foraminiferans make up the White Cliffs of Dover in England and the Kreideküste in Germany. Ernst Haeckel in his "Kunstformen der Natur" described it like this, “The surface is partially pitted. The nine chambers are spirally rolled in one plane; each one makes a half circuit.” In general, forams are distinguished by the holes in their shells which allows the amoeboid protists to stream ectoplasm out of their shells and catch food.

The pendant measures 1.9 cm wide by 2.5 cm long below the loop.

The pendant is 3D printed in solid sterling silver, bronze, brass or gold-plated steel and finished with a sterling silver, gold-plated silver or rose gold-plated silver anchor chain to match. In photos, pendant is shown in bronze and gold-plated steel.
