Acropora is a genus of small stony coral and a major component of coral reefs.  Corals are animals and obtain nourishment from photosynthetic symbionts living within them. Several species of this genus are referred to as elkhorn or staghorn coral due to their antler-like shapes. Growing in dense bush-like thickets, Acropora provide a safe hiding place for fish and other coral reef organisms. Acropora species are especially sensitive to coral bleaching due to ocean warming and loss of their algal symbionts.

The coral pendant below the loop is 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) in diameter.

The pendant is 3D printed in solid sterling silver or 14K gold plated brass, finished with a 45 cm/ 18 inch long sterling silver chain or gold plated silver chain*, and is ready for gift giving with a gift box, polishing cloth, and care instructions.

*While a 45 cm/18 inch fits most, other chain lengths are available. At checkout, write a note indicating your preference.

All jewelry ships free of charge from the Ontogenie workshop in Germany. If you live outside of the EU, you may be charged customs or import fees.
